Privacy, plainly.

This notice explains the information Bright Artistry collects through this website, why we use it and the choices you have.

Who is responsible

Bright Artistry Ltd (company number 11550588) is responsible for the information described here. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected].

What we collect

If you contact us through this site, we collect your name, email address, optional company name and the note you choose to send. Name, email and a note are required so that we can respond; you do not have to use the form and can email us instead. On client feedback pages, including pages open to anyone with the link, we collect the answers you submit and any contact or call details you choose to leave. Some feedback pages allow anonymous responses. We also receive basic technical information needed to run and protect the website, such as server logs.

Why we use it

We use contact details and your note to reply to an enquiry, discuss potential work and manage any resulting business relationship. Client-space responses help us deliver and review work with the relevant client. Depending on our agreement, we may handle those responses on that client’s instructions. Our legitimate interest is to respond to people who approach us and keep a record of those conversations. We use optional analytics only with your consent; client spaces are excluded from analytics.

Who we share it with

Form and client-space submissions are delivered through our email delivery provider, Resend, to Bright Artistry and, where configured, to the client or the person requesting a copy. Cloudflare hosts the site and stores client-space responses in its D1 database. Responses on a shared discussion page are visible to other visitors with access to that page. Private form responses are available to Bright Artistry and any configured client recipients. If you allow analytics, Google Analytics receives limited site-use data from public pages. We do not sell personal information or send submission contents to Google Analytics.

Analytics and cookies

Client spaces use an essential, secure ba_space cookie to remember that you entered the password. It expires after seven days or when the password is changed. Analytics is off unless you choose to allow it. We remember that choice in your browser’s local storage until you change it. When enabled, Google Analytics helps us understand pages viewed, broad traffic sources and device/browser information. It may set _ga and _ga_* cookies, which by default last up to two years. You can change your preference at any time; withdrawing it stops future analytics and clears these cookies where the browser allows.

Processing outside the UK

Resend primarily processes email data in the United States. Its data processing agreement includes safeguards for transfers from the UK. If analytics is enabled, Google may also process site-use information outside the UK. You can email us for details of the safeguards that apply to your information.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiry correspondence for up to 24 months after our last meaningful contact, unless it becomes part of an ongoing client relationship or we need to retain it for a legal obligation. We keep client-space responses for the relevant project or client relationship, then remove or return them according to our agreement and any legal retention requirements.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to certain uses, or ask us to restrict processing. Email [email protected] to make a request. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

Your right to object

You can object to our use of your information where we rely on legitimate interests. Email [email protected]. We will stop that use unless we have compelling grounds to continue or need the information for a legal claim.

Changes to this notice

We will update this notice when our processing changes. The date above shows when it was last reviewed.
